Who doesn’t love love, right? I certainly do! That’s why I love doing couples sessions in the beautiful and rugged Teton National Park. Jacob and Delaney’s adventure session had all the right ingredients for the perfect shots: young love, the scenic beauty of Colter Bay, and a blissful summer day.
Every time I photograph a young couple, I nearly always get to witness the love between two people who are very committed to each other. And it makes sense, doesn’t it? A couples session is a signal of how strongly you feel for each other, that you would want to capture your love forever. And these two lovebirds certainly made my job very easy, clasping hands, gazing deep into each other’s eyes, and just laughing away with each other.
My favorite picture from this shoot is a landscape photo of Jay and Dee smiling and holding each other in front of Jackson Lake, the sun illuminating their hair, and the vibrant scenery all around them. It looks like they’re lost in their own little world here and, boy, is it a beautiful world. Their love jumps off the page here, something that is so powerful yet so natural. The best part of my job is getting to capture people in their natural element — and I’m fairly certain I succeeded here.
