For nearly four decades, the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole has been doing amazing work across the area, along with college scholarships. This philanthropic organization manages over $205 million in assets that they use to build up the community. One of the best things they do? Invest some of that money in local students. There are over 250 scholarships available to students in Teton County, with additional options available for those in Sublette County. They work closely with the Education Foundation of Jackson Hole to help students find the option that fits them the best. They encourage you to start applying from November through January of your senior year to secure these funds.
Jackson Hole Snow Devils

The Jackson Hole Snow Devils are best known for their work hosting the World Championship Snowmobile Climb, challenging racers to face off on Snow King Mountain. In their eyes, there is no barrier too big to conquer, and that includes college! They offer their own Bill Townsend Memorial Scholarship to graduating high school seniors in the area. In order to qualify, someone in your immediate family must be an active, paying member of the Jackson Hole Snow Devils. You will write an essay and a cover letter addressing how you can improve the organization and submit it by March 15th via email.
Charles Reid Schouboe Memorial Scholarship
Teton County, Wyoming
The Charles Reid Schouboe Memorial Scholarship offers up to $8,000 of college scholarships for students across Teton County and Jackson Hole. The funds were set up to honor students who best exemplify the spirit of Reid Schouboe by showing character and leadership. They show special consideration for students who have an interest in rodeo, hunting, and/or motorsports. In order to qualify, you must be a high school senior who resides in Teton County and is seeking a bachelor’s degree. They recommend participating in community service and will give preference to students facing financial needs.
First in Family Jackson Hole Scholarship
Jackson, Wyoming
Are you the first person in your family to be pursuing a degree? Then the First in Family Jackson Hole Scholarship was literally created with you in mind! This scholarship is available to Teton County students who are first-generation college students seeking bachelor’s degrees. In order to earn it, you must maintain a 3.00 GPA and be a high school junior. They put priority on financial need and require you to submit an original essay. The scholarship application period opens around the end of January and will close one month later.
Jackson Hole Ski Patrol Memorial Scholarship Fund

The Jackson Hole Ski Patrol Memorial Scholarship Fund was started by Melissa Malm and Chris Peck in 2011 as a way to honor the memory of late Jackson Hole Ski Patrollers for college students. At first, they were only able to offer a scholarship to one area student, but before long, they were able to secure funding through the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole (I told you that organization does great work!). Today, they offer the application to any Teton County High School students as well as students who have a parent working for the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Recipients must be skiers or snowboarders who are dedicated to keeping the mountains safe for all!
Geologists of Jackson Hole

If you are someone who is deeply passionate about science, the Geologists of Jackson Hole have just the thing for you! This group offers scholarships ranging from $2,000-$5,000 available for qualified candidates. In order to apply, you must be a student from a Teton County, Wyoming high school with a love for science who intends to pursue a career in STEM. You also must be accepted to a four-year college or university ahead of time. Priority will be placed on students who plan on pursuing Earth Science for their degree.
Central Wyoming College

They have over $1.4 million dollars available for students with a huge array of options available. They offer need-based, merit-based, demographic-based, and career-based scholarships for students all across the state. To start out, you can head to their website and browse through dozens of choices. From activity scholarships to program-specific options, they have something that likely matches you. In order to qualify, be sure to complete your FAFSA by March 1!
Art Association of Jackson Hole

The Art Association of Jackson Hole is dedicated to making art more accessible for all. This organization offers scholarships for people of all ages, offering things like discounted art classes and workshops. They additionally have their very own college scholarship called the Harriet Minczeski Memorial Fund. This is available to one high school senior with plans to pursue visual arts in college. You will write an essay and then submit 5-10 original works of art showing off your skills. The deadline happens each year during the last week of February.
